I would like to thank the full moon in Leo for giving me the courage and energy to get this shit out. Rarrrrrrrr! I bow to thee, round wonder. Also, beloved Kuan Yin (guanyin/Quan Yin), goddess and bodhisattva of mercy and compassion, you continue to guide me back to my essence, in your ever-insightful and loving way. I don’t go anywhere without my Kuan Yin deck.
Since Moving to Hawai’i I have been faced with the depth of my disembodiment post-injury. I have become more aware of how unearthing it truly is — especially after a big move — and the changes I need to make, in many areas of my life to find my center and my body in a way reminiscent of my past. It is a depth of which I know is possible, because I have been there before.
Since my move, the need for foundational change is trying so hard to shake me awake—physically, mentally, emotionally—that it's now showing up symbolically within my home, and in a very invasive and gross way. My bedroom has officially been infested with book lice. Yes, book lice. These pests obviously found their way in due to negligence, sure. I should have more thoroughly cleaned my dump and thrift store scores…oops. This isn’t an issue back home in Wisconsin. Welcome to Hawai’i, little blonde haole.
Book lice don’t use a live host or bite, so luckily they’re harmless, but annoying all the same. While cleaning the house, and literally putting books in the freezer to kill their eggs, I had a thought—there’s a deeper message here.
I had this pause, this inner knowing that there’s something else here to listen to. This feels all too symbolic, this invasion of my home—my sacred safe space, my foundation. I’m taking it as a message to go deeper, to be more thorough when it comes to the care of my body, re-establishing my foundation, and nurturing my inner and outer landscape.
My life is telling me it is time to really evaluate the grounding and clearing work that needs to be done. And I want to take you along for the ride. So, this month we are digging into the dirt of our own conscious and reconnecting with our selves.
Healing/Earthing/Grounding: February Healing Guide for ALL BODIES
This February guidebook is an opportunity for us all to take a deeper look at grounding.
A reminder that in the depths of winter—whether you’re in Hawai’i or Wisconsin—we have an opportunity to create a deeper intimacy with the spaces we inhabit. The places that hold us can serve as a reflection of our connection and care for ourselves. Outer world = inner world. We can take a look at what needs tending to, what’s really been irking us, what we’re possibly ignoring, and what’s messy or cluttered.
Let’s do some recon and get a lil’ dirty. From there, we can look at how to bring more love, sensuality and peace into our inner and outer world.
